A quick glance at Burma / Myanmar more to come…

There is so much revealed after I arrive back from these trips. Processing takes time.
The mission into Burma (Myanmar) was an amazing trip. I just got back a bit over a week ago. What the Lord did will come. I have some video I am working to get up on the blog.
It will bless your heart. Burma was way different from what I had expected. I was fascinated by the fact that the entire city is covered in mold and mildew. I’ve never seen a city such as that.

One morning in prayer, the Lord took me to Deut 28. The bible talks about how it is a part of the curse when you forsake God, this was the first time I’d seen that part of the curse.

Yet, under all the mold and mildew there is a rare beauty in the people. It move me as I’ve never encountered people who could praise and worship the Lord such a way as this. In the middle of such oppression (often times harsh imprisonment), they openly worship and praise the Lord. They know their God and His faithfulness. Beautiful is the way I describe it. Absolutely precious…

Answered Prayers… all of them… :)

The last two requests are still in the works. So, let me thank you on behalf of the brothers and sisters in Myanmar. Your prayers are helping to soften the hearts of officials so that when the time comes, the seed will bear fruit. Please continue to lift up the nation of Myanmar.

13. For the Love of the Lord to touch the hardest hearts and change the course of the nation

14. For strongholds to be pulled down (spirit of fear, paranoia) It is a region where those spirits have “traveled” around for many years, time to bind them up!

Request 12. For the Joy of the Lord to Spill out onto others

12. For the Joy of the Lord to spill out to others
Ok, and just maybe I thought we’d be the carrier of that joy.. Well, I learned a thing or two. We changed our departing flight and tacked on an extra day. The reason? The church was celebration it’s 21st Birthday. Pastor M asked us if we would stay and praise and worship with them. We said, “Of Course!” Pastor M rented out the biggest ballroom in the nicest hotel in downtown Rangoon for the Celebration. I was told in USD it is $400-600 per night. So, renting out the ballroom must be….????

Anyway, there were over 1500+ people at the celebration! And THEIR JOY spilled all over on to others… the workers of the hotel were looking in doors, stopping by and very curious to why such happy singing and rejoicing. And not to mention our entire team. It was hard to believe that this is in a nation that is persecutiing Christians. But that does not let Pastor M stop from preaching the gospel. Here is the celebration in photos…

And because the staff of the hotel was watching, there was a salvation message told with by drama. It was so powerful… as they “whipped” and “beat” our Lord, it was so real, they portrayed the event in a very realistic manner. Made one cry.
