John 21:6 Cast your net…

John 21:6 And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish…

We went out on the Sea of Galilee worship boat. The “fisherman” was a messianic Jewish man who told us that he had his encounter with Jesus on the water… Just like Peter… Captain Dan has it on his heart to take Christians out on the Sea (or Lake Kineret as it is officially known in Israel) to spend time in worship… Worship takes place and is in Hebrew (His first language) and then English… It blesses all!

He shares a bit about himself, teaches the scriptures and then casts out a net… He explains that it is noted that 153 Fishes were caught in the net… Why???? 153 is the Hebrew Numerical value of the words:
“I AM GOD”

My journal on the boat, I wrote… AM I REALLY IN ISRAEL??? Truly it has not hit at this point… I am actually here…

Flag identifying the boat…

Bow of the boat…

Captain Dan casting the net… ahhh no, he did not catch anything this time…..

Matthew 14:19 The Church of Multiplication….

Matthew 14:19 Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes.
The tiles were excavated and land-marked as where the feeding took place…

GOD speaks in this place… “Remember, I can take just a little and make it into much…”
What you have, offer it to me & I will make it much: Time, Talent & Abilities, and Finance.
Give all and & I will make it much!

Matthew 5:1-13 The Beatitudes – What an attitude should be…

1 And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him.
2 Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

There is such a presence of peace sitting on the rocks overlooking the sea of Galilee. Reflection time….
Pop up number 1…

one of the many plaques that are on the grounds of the mount

Overlooking the sea of Galilee… sitting on the rock and reflecting on the teaching of Jesus….

Looking out from the church…

Peace surrounds the place

The land that was spied out… Numbers 13:23

On all official Israeli tour vehicles, the below pictured emblem is found.

Numbers 13:23 Then they came to the Valley of Eshcol, and there cut down a branch with one cluster of grapes; they carried it between two of them on a pole. They also brought some of the pomegranates and figs.

The first time I saw this was on a gift that was given to me on my first trip to China. It showed the same thing.. Caleb and Joshua carrying the pole…

I’m not sure how many times I had read the Bible and the realization of the grapes on a pole never hit. I had equated grapes to the small ones we normally eat. But the promises of GOD are so much BIGGER than what we can imagine… A great reminder to keep in front of us.

A visual reminder that the promises of God are bigger than we imagine…

My Bible is a Pop Up Book!!!!

Israel was a magnificent trip. The best way I can describe much of it had to do with my bible becoming a “POP UP BOOK”. Most of what we experience is just two dimensional. We can visualize it, but the splendor of it all as it comes to LIFE as one stands in places where Jesus preached, where Elijah, through the Lord, performed mighty miracles, and to where Armageddon will play out. I stood on Mount Carmel overlooking the Yizzreel valley and stood in awe.

One only has to travel about a mile to and then has to learn about 100 years of history! Selah.
So much was spoken to me, I’m still processing much of it. I’ll post pictures and what was shared at many of the stops.
