Prayer Conversations in the night…

The Holy Spirit woke me up in the middle of Wens. night for prayer. During this time, He showed me a conversation that I was having with someone. It was about reincarnation. I could hear myself asking the question, “Have you ever met someone who was reincarnated?” Then words flowed out on how there was not a single person on the face of the earth that could say that they actually knew someone who was reincarnated. But there were many who could say that they knew Someone who was raised from the dead ~ Jesus. There was more conversation then I went back to sleep.

This afternoon, I meet with Pastor Akei for some prayer and for him to share with me more about the at risk women’s and children’s program they were trying to re-launch. Some unfortunate events happened and they temporarily had to close the center. The goal is to reopen center by the first of the year. I had agreed to go with him and pray in the building where the center had been operating and then go to the new location that they wanted to move it to. It was not known that the landlord had rented out the location the center had been operating out of. Surprise to Akei, but not to God. One of the women working at the business was on the board for the center. She shared how women and children still came seeking assistance. As we talked, her boss came in. He set up an office in Sigatoga but lived in Suva. He had not realized what was there before they signed a lease and opened their office. But whatever he could do to support the center, he would do. We prayed for the center and the business to have their God appointed homes.

We then left and went to see the other location. Currently, there is a family that resides and runs a small business there. The family is going to move at the end of December and will be vacating the space. It is a larger space and could accommodate more women and children.

Niranjana, a woman, runs the business and her mother were there. They invited us in to look at the space and talk. As we were talking, I noticed that they had this life size poster of some man on one wall. Then on another wall, they had another poster of another man. In front of the posters, there were candles burning. I could not help but look at them. After a bit, I finally asked who are those people? Niranjana’s answer ~ the one over there is Sai, he’s very famous as he is the reincarnation of the man in the other poster.

My heart jumped as I realized that the conversation the Holy Spirit had revealed to me the night before was with Niranjana. We talked and I said what the Holy Spirit had shown me. Niranjana asked me if I would pray with her to receive Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior. I said absolutely. I prayed with her then the Lord filled her with His Holy Spirit. Glory to God. Her son, Javin, came in during this filling and received Jesus and was filled too. Niranjana’s mother, Manek, could not speak English so I started out by having her daughter translate for me. After a bit, the Lord gave me the words to say in Fijian (I’m getting really smart!), and she prayed to receive Jesus too. Manek needed healing so I prayed for her to be healed in the name of Jesus. The Lord did so. The family was so glad I came; they blessed me with a Sari.

Another American at School!

I taught classes in the morning. All teaching was on God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit in preparation for Friday. In each class, the students prayed to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Glory to God as His Spirit was drawing them to Him.

For the recess hour, there was a Special Guest, Christian Performing Artist, Russ Lee. Russ and his entire family were on a South Pacific Tour to support a launch of Christin Radio and share the Gospel. He preformed a special show for the Primary and the Secondary School Students. It was such a treat to meet his family, see him perform and share his testimony. Another blessing, it was a Sunny day:) May the Lord continue to expand his ministry.

Oh no, I’m going to the headmasters (principles) office!

The day had finally arrived and I’m going to school. I met Daniel and he introduced me to the Headmaster, Mr. Singh. We then proceed to his class (grade 6). The teaching the Lord had me lay out was for redemption and the role of the Holy Spirit. Daniel and I decided that we’d start with the devotional time and proceed from there. Mr. Signh joined the class during the devotional and listened attentively. At the end of my Devotional time, Mr. Signh asked if he could meet with me.

Oh no, I’m going to the headmasters (principles) office! What did I do???

Mr. Signh offered me tea then said, I really liked what you were teaching. I want you to spend time in ALL of the classes (24 classes 40 students each). So, is it possible for you to come and teach each of the next three days? He wanted me to share and pray with all classes for salvation. He explained that although it was a Methodist school, it was a multicultural school with all different religious backgrounds enrolled. They do teach morning devotionals from the bible (Methodist after all), but the majority of the children were not saved.

He especially wanted more teaching on the role of the Holy Spirit. I asked him if he was Spirit filled. He said, yes, just recently and he wanted all the children to have the fullness of God in their lives. He desired for the children to have a good understanding on God the Holy Spirit ~ the Spirit of Truth. I sat in awe as I realized that I was appointed to do something really special and was sitting in the middle of a mighty move of God. I agreed to come and teach school over the next few days, with Friday being the last day and an all school assembly. It was that day when it was planned to fill the children. The rest of my day was spent teaching additional classes. Glory to God!

Update on Una

When I arrived at the bus stop, a young bright faced smiling girl approached me. She said, you probably don’t remember me. I asked her name. She said “Una, you ministered to me earlier.” I told her that I indeed remembered her and had been praying for her. She said, “I really want to thank you. After we talked and prayed that day, I felt so much better. It is like something is gone and I’m happy inside.” Ps 27:10 was what the Lord had given me as a verse to share with her. She smiled and said, “You’ll never know how much it meant to me to meet you~ that verse is what the Lord gave me too.” Her departing words: “I have to go to school now, but I know it is all going to be ok. Thank you again for listening and praying.”

Thank you Jesus for healing her broken heart!

Weather is no incentive to stay in Fiji

I need to let all of you know, I heard it snowed back in Minnesota. Turned cold earlier than normal. I bought a pair of socks for my return.

The weather here has not been an incentive to stay. It has been raining for 33 days straight. I had asked if I missed a cyclone warning. No, a weather pattern was stuck over the entire South Pacific causing torrential rains for a month! Kind of reminded me of my first visit to Fiji…. Rained Hard for 9 days, then the Lord poured out His Spirit…… ummmmmm
