Familiar Places and New Territories…

I now head to Africa. Excited as opportunities to minster keep opening up. Familiar areas with new territories to be explored.
There is a village that was buried with mud. We’re going to minister to the people. It is a remote area, need to go via boat across lake Victoria and up a river.
Should be a spectacular ride none the less. One of my friends told me not to put my hands over the edges as they discovered “prehistoric” fish with gnarly teeth.
Not Parana fish family… flesh eaters.. but just curious ones.. Interesting.. Don’t know if they are right or saw a bad movie!
Anyway, it will also be nice to go back and see the children I was able to teach and interact with before. And visit those in the refugee camp. It will be all good!

This will be a short request, but I’m asking you for your covering as I venture out with a team of 8 from LWCC meeting up with Missionaries who have established ministries there.

1. Please pray for the Nation… May our previously established connections be further solidified and opportunities unfold for us to minister to them.

2. Pray for the missionaries who are currently serving in Uganda, for their ministry to continue to grow and provision to be provided.

3. For the Children… We will be ministering to 6 orphanages. Thank you all who gave toys, toothbrushes, toothpaste, clothes and other items for the Children. Your natural gifts will be greatly appreciated in a nation where there is overwhelming lack.

4. For Protection: Keeping us safe in all of our travels, from mosquitoes (No Malaria), and from any plots and plans of the enemy that will fail.

5. For the gifts and talents and abilities of those on the team to be pulled upon in new ways.

6. For the complete plan God has scripted for our mission to come to pass. There are a few opportunities to venture into new territories. Places we’ve not gone. So for the Spirit of the Lord to make plain and clear the path we are to walk.

May the Holy Spirit of the Lord continue to be your guide and teacher in all that you do and decisions that you make. May the Love of the Lord flood your hearts so you too can give out in a measure the world has not seen.
With Love in Christ who is the giver of Life.

And the building shook….

My transit took me to Jakarta. While there, I was invited to do a “cell group/house church” service. The hunger in the people placed a demand on the Holy Spirit of God. The Spirit moved and “rocked the building”. No, I don’t think it was an earthquake from the natural standpoint, rather it was a move of God as the result of fervent & hungry hearts of the people. Simply beautiful.

The common thread……and shoes

One of my stays was with a Pastor & his wife on the shores of Tiberius. I came to find out that she was Jewish and her linage ran through Kaifeng, China. What a pleasant surprise that was. The time with the Children in the schools and orphanages was great. I know in my heart I’ve got more work to do there.

As a side note, I did not bring what would be considered “real” shoes.. . I had to borrow shoe… Missions humor time: Asian women have small feet… What do you think the chances of me finding a pair of size 9 (39/40 asian) shoes is????? I ended up borrowing a pair… They were absolutley lovely.

Is this really in Indonesia?????

My trip to Indonesia was absolutely wonderful.
The people were beautiful people. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived in the town of Manado to see the roots of Judaism and Christianity more relevant than other religions. There was a 33 metre statue of Jesus over the city and a Synagogue in the town. Something that I never thought I’d find in Indonesia. I think we need one back here….

And Suddenly…..

The Lord has been speaking to me about being ready and available…

What next is a suddenly… I have been invited to minister in Indonesia on the island of Sulawesi, a place called Manado.
I had knew in my heart from last falls trips to SE Asia that I would be going back to minister to the region. I just did not know when or where. I kept it up in prayer and started making preparations for things to come.
In February I met a Pastor who was visiting from Malaysia. As we had fellowship he started speaking directly to my heart. I like to call it “Reading my mail.” He was speaking to me of things that the Lord had told me were to come. I was excited but did not say anything. He did ask if I would ever be interested in ministering there. I indicated that yes, at the right time, I’d go.

Two weeks later I received an invitation to go and minister at a revival service. I put it up in prayer asking the Lord for three confirmation. I received all three within 12 hours. One was very specific and was answered in a big way.
Now I thought I had a few weeks to make arrangements, but no, I needed to depart in 7 days. 1 week…. No problem if it is the Lord. The week went by so quickly and now I’m departing to the airport in a few minutes.
Your prayers have sustained me through all I’m called to do. You all play a vital role… so I need your support again….

I ask you to pray in agreement the following and please lift me up as the spirit reminds you of me.

I am preaching the Night Revival services on the 14th, 15th, 16, & 17th. The service goes through the 19th. After that, ministry opportunities will vary from being able to do orphanages and schools. All as the Spirit directs.
Please pray to have emptied out of me what needs to be given and receive all that the Lord has for me during this time. In addition:

1. Protection as we travel.. no harm or incident – I fly from LA to Seoul to Kuala Lumpur – Jakarta – Sulawesi
2. All luggage to arrive at the end destination My backpack is packed and will be checked. I’m bringing items for the pastor over.
3. Health of me… I’ve noticed an increase in “hits” but I push them back…
4. For sanctified food and water…
5. For the Assignments, for me to hear with my ears, receive in my heart, and embrace all that the Lord is directing me to do. I know that there is a message He wants to draw out.
6. For the Holy Spirit to have absolutely free reign and for me not to lean on any part of my own understanding
7. For my eyes to be open to see the people as the Lord sees them
8. For me to be changed from glory to glory as I experience more of the Love of God.
9. Whatever else is put on your hearts.
