This day is like our Fourth of July in America. The entire country shuts down to celebrate the day with various events. Here is Sigatoga, it is the BilliBilli. There are races and it is a serious event. The hotels in the area all have teams that participate an have been training for the races for months. The day kicks off with a 23K relay run that starts out in front of the hotel I’m staying at. Other events are Egg tossing (see which chefs can catch the most with out breaking), to wait staff servicing (running a race with tea cups on a tray), bell captains relay that involves running and then passing a coconut under the legs of a team. Kayak and bamboo raft racing down the Sigatoga River, and the day ends with the main event the BilliBilli Race ~ an Ironman competition. They Swim, they run (barefooted) and they kayak ~ all racing to the finish. The winner is the local hero and honored for a year. I enjoyed watching some of the events. The competition is fierce and it is quite serious. The activities director here at the hotel was the Chairman this year, he spent Tues. morning taking calls from others about “why” some folks were disqualified. They were lodging their complaints about cheating and unfair judges. Sports, no matter what they are are taken seriously.

And they were in One Accord Singing Praises to the Lord
Sunday morning service was a combined service with Fijians, Indians and Europeans (I’m classified as a European because I’m white). At the beginning of the service, a group of Indian men started to sing and praise the Lord in their native tongue. I closed my eyes and was transported to heaven. I stood in the throne room and I could see all the nations singing high praises to Our Lord Each in their native tongues. It was such a sweet sound. A sound that resounds in my spirit.
Let the Truth of You Kingdom Reign in Me!
After a day of prayer and fasting we went out to Evangelize and minister at the hospital.
I am continually humbled by the move of the Spirit of the Lord here. All the Glory goes to God our Father who through His Son Jesus is demonstrating His love for the people. My prayer for this day: Let the Truth of Your Kingdom Reign in Me.
The hospital is segmented in wards by men and women. As we walked in, a woman, Shaniza, was coming out of the men’s section. She looked at me like she knew me and said hello. She immediately shared that her brother in law was in the hospital. He could feel his body and touch, but he could not move and had been in that state for days. I told her I was a Christian missionary who there to pray for the sick. She grabbed my hand and said, “Come with me now!” I entered the section where he was and there was a family of 9 standing there. The man’s name is Sham Mohammad.
Sham’s wife and a few of Sham’s brothers, sisters and children were there visiting. Shaniza told them that I would pray for Sham. I asked whether or not the family believed in Jesus. They looked around and then looked back at me and said “We’re Muslim”.
Luke 21:15 reads, “For I (Jesus) will give you a mouth and such utterance and wisdom that all of your foes (those who are opposed to) combined will be unable to stand against you or refute.”
I told the family that Jesus, The Son of God, was the one who could heal not me. I then shared the Gospel of Truth with them.
They all said that they wanted to pray to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. I prayed with the family and asked them to agree with me for Sham’s healing in the Name of Jesus. When I turned to pray for Sham, I made sure that he had received Jesus too. He had tears rolling down his face as he confessed Jesus as Lord, Savior and Healer. I was holding Sham’s hand and told him that what was afflicting him was a wicked spirit. That as I prayed in the name of Jesus the Son of God, the anointing of God would set him free. The tears kept coming. When I was finished praying, Sham threw back the covers and started to move. All in the room were thanking Jesus for Healing Sham.
Immediately after, Sham’s brother, Ziam, requested that I pray for him too. He had been in the hospital just a few days before and needed healing. I’m hoping that my words can paint a picture of the TRUTH of HIS KINGDOM breaking through to this family and others around!!!!..
When we finished in Sham’s room, two men across the hall motioned for us to come in for prayer. They were Muslim’s and had heard what was shared. They too prayed for Jesus to be Lord, Savior and Healer and to be filled with the Holy Spirit. There were immediate recoveries.
Glory to God!!!! The Lord Jesus the Healer was moving through the hospital again.
Going to Camp
It was arranged that the church in Sigatoga was having a camp for a weekend and invited me to participate. I accepted the invitation as it was for fasting, prayer and evangelism.
Friday night, after prayer, we set up a room slept on the floor of the church building.
Somewhere in the middle of the night (approx 4:00am) I was bitten by mosquitoes on my face, 5 of them to be exact. I was awaken up with “itching”face. I could feel the swelling start so I started to pray in tongues. One bit was by my lip the others by my right eye. Talk about facial distortion. Yikes! I looked quite funny. Saturday morning we spent in 5 hours of prayer before we went out to evangelize. My face was still swelling. It was the enemy who tried to tell me that I looked funny. The Holy Spirit told me that the Glory of God would cover it all. Downtown was quite busy and we prayed with a number of people to receive Jesus.
Swelling all gone!!!
Daddy I want a car…..
A pastor and I were talking about his need for transportation so that the family can all go to cell groups and service together as a family. We prayed for the Lord to meet the need. I shared that he needed to take a step in faith. He determined that the step in faith is to obtain a driving license. Don’t need a car if you can not drive it.
We can learn much from how children relate to their parents. The Pastor’s Son asked for a car. After a bit, he asked again. This pattern repeated as we walked downtown shopping. Finally, the son wore the father down, and the father gave in and bought a car. We were talking and I told him that his asking was like how we approached the Father. We asked. Just like his son, his son asked and asked again and again. But we should teach him to ask once, then continue to thank you for the car. What tremendous results would be produced through training his son with biblical principles as his son grew.
