Answered Prayers… all of them… :)

The last two requests are still in the works. So, let me thank you on behalf of the brothers and sisters in Myanmar. Your prayers are helping to soften the hearts of officials so that when the time comes, the seed will bear fruit. Please continue to lift up the nation of Myanmar.

13. For the Love of the Lord to touch the hardest hearts and change the course of the nation

14. For strongholds to be pulled down (spirit of fear, paranoia) It is a region where those spirits have “traveled” around for many years, time to bind them up!

Request 12. For the Joy of the Lord to Spill out onto others

12. For the Joy of the Lord to spill out to others
Ok, and just maybe I thought we’d be the carrier of that joy.. Well, I learned a thing or two. We changed our departing flight and tacked on an extra day. The reason? The church was celebration it’s 21st Birthday. Pastor M asked us if we would stay and praise and worship with them. We said, “Of Course!” Pastor M rented out the biggest ballroom in the nicest hotel in downtown Rangoon for the Celebration. I was told in USD it is $400-600 per night. So, renting out the ballroom must be….????

Anyway, there were over 1500+ people at the celebration! And THEIR JOY spilled all over on to others… the workers of the hotel were looking in doors, stopping by and very curious to why such happy singing and rejoicing. And not to mention our entire team. It was hard to believe that this is in a nation that is persecutiing Christians. But that does not let Pastor M stop from preaching the gospel. Here is the celebration in photos…

And because the staff of the hotel was watching, there was a salvation message told with by drama. It was so powerful… as they “whipped” and “beat” our Lord, it was so real, they portrayed the event in a very realistic manner. Made one cry.

Answered Prayers continued…..

7. For the complete operation of the Gifts of the Spirit to Operate on a higher level… notable miracles….
I shared in the earlier post how we were invited to a water baptisim of 94 buddhist converts.. How Jesus appeared. Well I don’t think it gets any more notible than that.. Thank you Lord for being Who you are and loving us the way you do..

8. For us to be completely yielded to the Holy Spirit…
This one was important for as we taught. Messages were flowing from the throne room of heaven and it was beautiful. Different Bodies, uniquely delivered messages all woven together by the Holy Spirit of God.

9. For each member to be adapted quickly..
This happened… even though the Lord had some of us up at odd hours praying… That was ok, as we made it through all teaching and stayed awake…

10. For Protection, Psalms 91…
We went out and returned with out harm or incident. Thank you Lord!

11. For Safe drinking water and food
This was the first time I had included this specific item in a prayer request. We pray over our food and water, so we have the expectation that we are covered…. OK, I know that with out your prayers, this would have been even worse. Two of us got food posioning.. This has never happened on any trip I have been on. Myself, I was down for just a bit, but for another team member, it was a HUGE battle. We are thankful that we have the victory in Christ Jesus.

Your Prayers were Answered….all 14 of them….

As I’ve read my journal and asked the Lord what I should share… It kept coming back to answered prayer. I guess I had not really shared about the specifics in answers to the prayer requests that I send to cover a trip. I know that I mention some of them in general… but not specifics.
So here it goes. Be encouraged, your prayers are being answered….

The prayers….
1. Prayer for: As we go through Bangkok, Thailand… please pray that our connection is smooth and made with out delay or hindrance.
Ok… when we arrived, we had an Eight Hour layover in Thailand. What we found out was that for three of us, our bags were checked ONLY as far as Thailand. If we would have gone and “claimed” the bags when we arrived, we would have had to left the secure area of the airport and would not be allowed back in. I laughed as at that moment, I realized exactly why this was the first prayer request. In the morning, we went through customs, asked where the bags were, went to “lost and found” and were reunited with our bags. All was safe and secure….Thank you Lord for the Angels garrisoning about our items!

2. For the eyes of the customs officials in Burma to be blinded so we can get the aid in we are bringing. (Medical, Blankets, Clothing, and Bibles & Teaching materials)
This was the first miracle we encountered. At the airport in Rangoon, bags are ran through an x-ray machine and if there is something that looks suspicious, X’s are written on the bags in white chalk. We knew this in advance and someone had told us to bring “baby wipes” to wipe off the X’s. We did not do that. As the bags from our flight arrived, the carrousel went round and round with everyone elses bags. We waited paitently for our bags. Many of the bags had the X’s on them. Finally, our bags were the last to come through. Most of the people had cleared out and were really the only group there. We picked up our bags and not one had an ‘X’ on it. When we went through customs, the official was looking at all the bags, flipping them… For sure, this group had to have at least one ‘X’. No, the eyes of the officials were exactly how we prayed… “Blinded” so we were able to get all the aid into the country… Thank you Lord!

3. For favor to be bestowed upon us as we make contact with officials and leaders.
Our travel in the city was rather limited, but this was answered prayer because we met the head hotel security guard who let us up to the roof to pray. Our questions about the city and prayers so touched him, he asked more questions. We shared Jesus with him on the roof of the hotel. He prayed and lit up light a lightbulb atop of the hotel. What is really wonderful is that we were given burmese bibles, and we were able to give him one right away. He was so thankful not only for the gift, but for the prayer.

4. For our eyes to be focused on the Lord and our ears to hear His direction so we block out the “distractions” the enemy may throw our way to shift our focus. Singly focused is the word I get..

5. For us to face those who oppose the Lord and know in our heart that no man can stand before us, (Joshua 1) We only had one encounter going into a village where we were opposed, but as the Apostle Paul said, “we preceived that the door was not open, so we went on our way.” We know that our trip there was to lay ground work for a trip later and the doors will open…

6. For us to be led to those whose prayers we are answering…
I told the team when we were in Myanmar, that “if this is all I was sent to Myanmar to do, I’ve accomplished my work….” On the first Sunday night service at the Church, we tag team preached. I just love this as it is different bodies but all one message from the Lord. When I was preaching, I saw a family in the crowd and I knew that they were not from Myanmar. After the service, the family was gone. When we arrived back at the hotel, the family was there. I had a very brief conversation with them and found out they were missionaries (family:John, Susann, with their sons PJ and Johnny) on their way from Canada to Zimbawe and that was the extent of our conversation.
The next morning, in my prayer time with the Lord, he had me praying for the family, and specifically PJ, their 15 year old son.

After breakfast, I ran into the family. I talked with Susann and PJ for a bit, and asked if PJ was excited. Susann told me that he wasn’t. At that point, the Lord had me give PJ the message that He had shared with me in my prayer time. The Lord told me that he was going to give PJ better friends than he had back in Vancouver. I could actually see the one boy that the Lord was bringing to PJ. It was precious. Susann knew that I had no way of knowing where in Canada they were from, they did not tell me. PJ started crying and I knew in my heart that I was sent to Myanmar for him. To give a message so that he would not look at this assignment to Zimbawe with dread, but to change his expectations to one of excitement, as the Lord was giving PJ better friends! Thank you Lord for allowing me to be used to shape tomorrows of one of your precious children.

Taking the Light to dispel the Darkness… Part II

September came fast and once again, it is time for me to depart as a carrier of light into the darkness. Some of you already know, the experience in Uganda was amazing. It was a trip that left me processing these past few weeks. Talking brought heaps of tears.

Today I depart for yet another nation that has been covered by the spirit of fear. Myanmar, Burma as the Lord has talked to me about it. There is a huge expectancy inside of me for what will be done on this trip. The team is made up of 7 people and we’ve been praying together as often as we can so we are knit together. Praise the Lord, He’s prepared the way!!!
Our ministry schedule is not set, as I shared earlier, the church is known by the government, has immense favor, but there is still persecution. So, we’re going on another Adventure with the Holy Spirit. We’ll go where He wants us to go, do what He wants us to do and say What He wants us to say. I get stirred inside when I think of this.

What we do know:
We have Visas and can enter the country….

15. For safe travel to and from

The Lord gave me Psalms 67 to read over this trip:
To the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. A Psalm. A song.
1 GOD BE merciful and gracious to us and bless us and cause His face to shine upon us and among us–Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!–
2 That Your way may be known upon earth, Your saving power (Your deliverances and Your salvation) among all nations.
3 Let the peoples praise You [turn away from their idols] and give thanks to You, O God; let all the peoples praise and give thanks to You.
4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for You will judge the peoples fairly and guide, lead, or drive the nations upon earth. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
5 Let the peoples praise You [turn away from their idols] and give thanks to You, O God; let all the peoples praise and give thanks to You!
6 The earth has yielded its harvest [in evidence of God’s approval]; God, even our own God, will bless us.
7 God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall reverently fear Him.

My prayers over you:
Heavenly Father, I want to thank you for all the people who are standing along side of me as we go to do your good work and service. Lord, I thank you that you for speaking to their hearts about the plans and purposes you have for them . What role, place and assignments you have for each one of us to complete. Lord, I thank you that you demonstrate that it is not by our power or might, but by Your Spirit that the things are completed and all the glory, honor and praise is given back to you. Lord, I thank you for your face to shine brightly upon my faith family. That you continue to pour out your blessing upon them, that you protect them, and keep them covered in your shadow. Lord, you are the Almighty God, the All Sufficient One, the God of Love, Kindness, and Tender Mercy. I thank You, for I know you hear my prayers, I ask you to overtake each one of my family today and provide for all their needs, Spirit, Soul, and Body. All to bring You glory through the precious name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.

Remember, Jesus loves you and so do I
