A place I did not know existed, but there I was sent

The ride was It was a bit over 2 hours in the boat to this amazing place. Our arrival was greeted with Children standing at the jetty. After our “introductions” to the children, we were led to the church which was a 2.5 mile hike up the mountain.

The land was so unique… I think that lake Victoria must be a “quieted” volcano as there were boulders all over the landscape. They looked as if they were just “dropped” from the sky onto the landscape. As we hiked along the mountain ridge, Lake Victoria was in the backdrop.

It was amazing, it looked as if one was on the Sea coast. Beautiful… I stopped and marveled… It was another place I never imagined I’d be… Yet here I was sent. Thank you Lord!!!!

Do you Swim???

That question was a flash back to 2005 and the trip to the island in Fiji, my initial reaction then was “What am I swimming from??” But as I quickly learned, it was due to the boat ride being in the middle of the Ocean for almost 3 hours that required some sort of floating-swimming ability as there were no life jackets in the boat…… But remember the Life Preserver is always with me…

So, here I was in a boat and the question was asked again…. Do you Swim???

It was discovered that there were not as many life jackets as people, and as the jackets were being handed out, P. Paul asked me if I swam. “Yes” was the answer… his next question was “would you mind if your jacket went to one of the people in the boat who does not swim?” My response, “that would be fine.” He explained to me that swimming was not something that most Ugandans know how to do. Even those who lived by the water usually do not know how to swim.

Thank you Lord for giving me the opportunity to learn how to swim. Little things, that prepare us for things to come.

10,000 for people Carrying????

I can just see it… and audit of the books and the charge is 10,000 for carrying people.
What in the world is that?????

On this trip, we made it out the island in the middle of Lake Victoria. The start of the trip was interesting as they “people carry” you out to the boat because there is no dock. So you are carried out to the boat……. Thank you for those who carried me, my shoes stayed dry!!!!

Bringing Love… The Children at Hope….

A place where so much darkness use to exist, and now we are privleged to bring love. One of the things that I treasure is holding the children and praying over them. Uganda is a nation where adoption is closed. Prayers over the Children for Health & Healing, Clean Water & Food, Protection and Spiritual Growth is important.

A quick return.. Going back to Uganda

There were so many opportunities for ministry that we were not able to do. Time simply was not available. So we returned… I had a feeling that my complete purpose was not accomplished while we were there. That I would be going back soon.

A week after we were back, PK called and asked if I had some time for a quick meeting. The meeting was to ask me if I could go back to Uganda in three weeks. The answer was yes… So here we are. I’m departing to go back to Uganda once again.

Please pray for our team (small team of 5 joining up with others there)
1. For the plan and purpose of the trip to be accomplished.. by the team and individuals on the team
2. For the Holy Spirit to operate freely through us (no hindrances)
3. For the gifts in all the individuals to be pulled upon at a new level.
4. For the places we are to go and stay… for those places have been prepared and all we need to do is step into them
5. For the protection of the team, spirit, soul and body.
6. For safe food, transportation, ministry and conversation
7. For all the connections for the team as we travel to be without hindrance and delay
8. For the people to experience the Love of God in a way that further strengthens their grip on the Lord and allows them to come to know more intimately the depth of Love God has for them.

What the Lord has been putting in my heart lately has to do with Purpose.. A question has been presented to me on many fronts:
What is more important the Vessel or the Purpose of the Vessel…. All of us are vessels… so the question has been, what is more important ME or the Purpose for ME?

I’ve made it my goal to understand the purpose for my life…

My prayers are for the God whose hand holds you to show you more of His character so you will come to know Him more intimately and understand the depth of His love for you. And once understood, to dispense that Love to a lost and dying world through accomplishing Everything He has planned for you.

May my words spark you to identify your gifts and callings so you can walk out the plan that God has for your life. All to the Praise and Glory of God’s name.

With Love in Christ, Who is the true Giver of Life..
