To know the Healer

As we head back we come to our last appointment. A old man who was “cutting” cane. We stop and visit. As we share, he said that he would think about it. But can we pray for him to be healed? I said sure, but I cannot heal, that Jesus Christ, the Son of God is the healer. Did he believe that Jesus can heal. Well yes, he said. I asked him to pray a prayer with me to know Jesus Christ the Healer. WOW, first time I’ve had a salvation prayer as that. For Jesus Christ the healer to make himself known in his life and heart. Glory to God. Holy Spirit you show, new ways to minister each and every time.

Village Ministry Day One

Jordan, a precious young lad who is in bible school, and I meet early in the day to go to KuluKulu, a village east of Sigatoka. It is where his mother’s mother lives. We go and meet his aunt and visit. We share why I’m here in Fiji. She prays with us to receive Jesus. We also visit his grandfather who has been bed ridden for over 40 years. Jordan does not quite know why, but he is paralyzed on one side of his body. He did not want to pray to receive Jesus and that was hard on Jordan. But we do pray for him to be touched with the healing anointing.

We head out to the village for ministry. The people are mostly Hindu and Muslim. But all are wide open to the truth. We prayed with entire families to receive Jesus. One lady told us that we were the first people to ever come and share Jesus with her. Amazing! There are a number of churches in the village ~ and no one had stopped buy. We’re honored the Lord used us.

For lunch, we head back to his Aunt’s place where his grandmother will join us. His Aunt, Rina, has made curry soup, crab, goat, pickled mangos, roti and okra. Ok, pickled mangos were interesting. The rest was wonderful.
We share with Jordan’s grandmother. It is a message about the great love that God has put into Jordan’s heart for his family. That that great love was what had him ask me to join him in visiting the family and sharing Jesus with them. She prayed to receive Jesus with tears in her eyes.

We head back out to do more ministry. House to house was wonderful. One thing that the Holy Spirit was having me do was to pray over the families that we prayed with for a blessing right away, for them to be committed to God and for the Holy Spirit to drop the Love of God into their hearts right away. It’s nice, they hear the prayers we are offering up. We visit one of the Ladies that I’ve met previously. Actaully, I had closed her hand in the card door the Thursday before. OUCH! Thank you Jesus for healing her hand. She gives cookies and we exchange conversation. We visit her daughter in law and pray for healing of her baby. Glory to God. A little neighbor girl, Pya, prays for Jesus to be her Lord.

Into the Interior… can we get out????

We went back to Mavua for a church service. This is the church I went to last fall for dedication and water baptism. They don’t get too many visitors and repeats at that (especially “Europeans”) so they are really excited to see me. I’m just as excited to be there. They asked me to share about what the Lord is doing around the world.

Lunch/Fellowship afterwards was precious…..

The rains are BIG! Much rain coming into Fiji since it is the “rainy” season. To rain at night is ok. Rain during the day? Well it would be cooler that way. When we go to leave Mavua, the car would not start. So we sit and wait for a mechanic to come and look at the car. We wait and wait and wait. Finally after 3 hours of waiting, it is determined that we hitch a ride.

There are transport Lories, (transport vehicle – covered pickup?) that are running back to town. We hitch a ride and head out.

On the ride, we discoverd it was the hand of God that was protecting us. The rain had over ran the road and we would have not been able to pass in the car. Thank you Lord for always going before us! The entire ride is an adventure. The guy is driving so fast…. I’m thankful for the Prophetic blessing Oral Roberts proclaimed upon me in 1998, that all of my travels, whether by land, sea, air, train, car, boat, plane would be safe. Thank you Lord for that proclamation! It has kept me in all of my ways.
The ride has some Indian folks in the lory as well. Unfortunately, the ride was too adventourous and noisy to share the gospel. Still, my prayers were for my laughter as we went and the smile on my face to radiate Jesus, not K.

TV Soap Time……??

Ritesh and Nileshni have had me over for “dinner” and Hindi Soaps. The shows always have someone in turmoil…. Someone who is trying to destroy someone else. It is sometimes hard to watch because they are rooted with spite, hate, jealousy and revenge. It is an opportunity to further minister to them about love… something that is not really in their culture.

Amazing thing is that the shows are not “shy” about their religion. Most of the shows show the people making sacrifices to one of the 300 million gods. Amazing. America forsakes the One True Living God and those with idols don’t. Hard to comprehend.

Papa, She taught me in school!!!!

Hot hot hot…. That’s the best way to describe the weather. Water is the heaviest item I’m needing to carry from town to the house and I’m drinking a lot of water ~ I need to as I’m sweating by blinking! It is suggested to me that I get a water cooler that comes with 15 liter jugs that they deliver. When I calculated the cost, oh my gosh…. what a savings, not only financially, but I don’t need to carry it to the house! Mr. Pure is on his way!!!!

Ray, Mr. Pure, Roveena, and their two daughters bring my water cooler and water to the house.
I open the door, and I hear his eldest daughter say, “Papa, she taught me in school”. Nice to know that the children still remember. She was totally excited that I’m back. This opens the door to ministry.

We talked about my purpose here and why I keep coming back. They tell me that they are Muslims. We talk about man’s efforts to obtain righteousness. After seeing that human effort falls short, they decide that Jesus is the way. We all pray for them to receive Jesus. Ray tells me that he does have two bibles at home. That he’d search out the two tracks I gave him, good news and Holy Spirit, and study what is in them. Lord, may you fill them with your everlasting love.
